“May you live in interesting times.”
Whoever said that is an asshole. Please take me back to the ’90s when overalls with one strap down, a Jansport backpack, and access to Boones Farm was all one needed to be cool. Even if it wasn’t cool (super unlikely), at least someone had to harass me to my face; none of this anonymous social media chicken shit bullying.
However, we do live in interesting times, and this era is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate. How do we know what the truth is? Are my peers better at this than I am? Did he say one strap was down on those overalls?
This newsletter can’t solve a world gone mad, but it can help you thrive in a financial system that has become unhinged. Our modern economy creates challenges many of us are facing for the first time in our lives: inflation, product shortages, remote jobs, stock market volatility, and cryptocurrency! It’s exhausting and terrifying and may get worse.
No matter how you feel day-to-day, the smart move for your financial life is to buy. I don’t mean buying stocks, real estate, or crypto, at least not yet. It’s time to buy into yourself.
You can thrive the crazier the world becomes, and I’m going to show you how, starting with these three tips:
#1-Find Someone You Trust
People are skeptical of everyone trying to tell them what is best for them and they should be. Behind every article, post, or video is an agenda someone is trying to cram down your throat or sell you something you do not need.
Do they think we don’t know what they’re up to? To thrive in the future economy, you will need to find voices you trust that don’t have a hidden agenda. I hope one of those is me. If not, that’s okay. I plan to introduce you to several more along the way.
For the record, I do have an agenda for Wealth Tacos: I want everyone in the world to have financial security and privacy. Money is being weaponized against you like never before, and it’s time to learn how to defend yourself.
My method is simple, I’m going to tell you what I do with my own money. Better yet, I’m going to show you what I do with my own money.
#2-Control Your Money
You may be numb to the experience, but aren’t you tired of asking the bank to use your own money? Sure, you can access your cash anytime, as long as it’s between the hours of 9 and 5 on a weekday. Or you can hit up an ATM outside of business hours and take out $500 at a time.
What if you want to buy a motorcycle or a boat on a Saturday? You’ll have to wait until the bank opens on Monday and hope someone else doesn’t scoop it up. In the meantime, the bank is lending out 90% of your money to someone else, immediately profiting from you.
This is how banks work, and they have every right to build a business that profits from you. In turn, you have every right to slowly and methodically move away from these old-school institutions and store your money in a system where you profit from your money, not the bank.
Step-by-step, I will show you how to access your funds, 24/7/365, with complete privacy. You will be the one lending out money and earning interest, and you will be the one benefiting from an investment in cutting-edge technology.
#3-Hedge Your Career
The worst type of jewelry one can wear are golden handcuffs.
So many people in the world are stuck in a job they can’t leave, and many are trapped there by their success. Teachers, police officers, and corporate execs often stay on the job decades longer than they want, letting the promise of a guaranteed pension dictate the direction of their life. For most, it will be the right decision. There is nothing wrong with working hard while you can and having someone else pay your bills later.
But those who control their own money, and thus their future, will have the option to explore whatever career they want. No amount of “guaranteed” money will keep them in a box or prevent them from starting a new chapter in their life. The Web 3.0 economy, as it’s often called, will bring new opportunities to every corner of the globe. You don’t have to understand what that means today because I will explain it tomorrow. Just know that options are increasing, and you’ll be prepared when one suddenly arrives at your doorstep.
There is a quote you are likely familiar with but may not have seen the full version before: "Buy when there's blood in the streets, even if the blood is your own." You may be thriving in all the chaos, or you may be confused, anxious, skeptical, and tired. Or all the above. Regardless, it’s time to get into the game.
Buy into yourself your ability to prosper in times of significant change. Buy into a future where you don’t take crap from anyone. It will be a wild ride; you may want to have both straps up on those overalls.
I look forward to reading more!
